Hello
brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. We count it a true blessing to share this 124th
Church Anniversary with you, our Family and Friends! Your presence
here today is a reminder of the fact that we are part of a larger
community of believers who too are striving to fulfill God’s
promises for their lives. We gather today to celebrate our efforts
to be a faithful community of believers who seek the favor of God’s
blessings upon our lives. Today we are truly grateful for what God
has done for us. We ask you to join us today in thanking God for
the blessings He has bestowed upon us all!
We come
today to celebrate the faithful devotion of those who labored to
build this Mighty Fortress for God. Our testimony is that we have
come this far by faith. We recognize that we must honor their
faithful efforts by using our faith to serve this present age. We
come today to not only celebrate what God has done; but we also come
to celebrate the vision God has given us for what he is about to
do. God has blessed us to address some structural issues that have
needed attention within the fortress. While these offer daily
stresses within our community; we are thankful that God has
resourced us to boldly but humbly approach his throne of grace to
seek guidance and help to meet the need. We must believe that God
will provide for all our needs according to His riches in glory. I
encourage us all to celebrate this day what God has done; and to
constantly prepare for the appearing of our Lord. Just as our
forefathers and foremothers sang so beautifully – Use me Lord in
your service!
As we face the
challenges of the present day, we pray that God will continue to
make His favor shine upon us. Our mission is to truly be a
“Fortress” where souls will be protected, nurtured, saved, and
encouraged to make effective life changes toward holy fulfillment of
God’s promises!. We would like to give special thanks to our
outstanding group of Young Adults under the leadership of Ebony
Young; who accepted the challenge of leading through the efforts of
preparing for this day. You have done a beautiful job, and we are
grateful that God has given us each of you. To our family and
friends, thank you again for sharing this great day in our lives.
May God bless you and yours this holiday season and give you peace.
